Biography : When Aamna Shariff was in her second year of college, she got a lot of modeling offers and endorsed many brands such as, 'Close Up Toothpaste', 'Betel Mobile Phones', 'Emami Cosmetic Cream', 'Clearasil Skin Cream', 'Nescafe' and many others. Till date she has done about fifty ads. Along the line, she did a music video sung by Kumar Sanu called "Dil Ka Alam Main Kya Bataun Tujhe" and she also did a music video sung by Falguni Pathak called "Yeh Kisne Jadoo Kiya" and "Chalney Lagin Hain Hawain" sung by Abhijeet , "Ly Ly So Rupiya" sung by Daler Mehdi and "Nachana Kamal Tera" sung by Shael. She was born on 16 July 1982 into a Muslim family and completed her schooling from St Anne's High School in Bandra. From her childhood days she wanted to be an actress but because of disapproval from her family members she had to keep the idea away for a long time. She later managed to convince her parents to let her act. She has graduated from Mumbai University and has worked as a salesperson in a boutique, and also in a beauty parlor, before getting a modeling contract. Aamna Shariff is known mainly for playing the role of Kashish in the popular Star Plus drama 'Kahiin To Hoga' with her co star Rajeev Khandelwal. She became a household name after the show and her character became a cultural icon. She made her debut in Balaji Telefilms' serial 'Kahiin To Hoga' where she acted as the eldest sister in a middle class family. She also had a guest appearance in 'Deal Ya No Deal' hosted by Rajeev. She had also been a guest with her co star Rajeev in 'Khul Ja Sim Sim' hosted by Hussain Kuwajerwala. She has reportedly worked in two Pakistani serials called 'Ana' and 'Sun Le Na'. Her first feature film 'Aloo Chaat' opposite Aftab Shivdasani released on March 20, 2009. She is currently shooting another film with Aftab Shivdasani called 'Sub Sey Peeche Hum Kharey'. When she was starring in the TV show 'Kahiin To Hoga' with actor Rajeev Khandelwal, she was constantly linked to him, although she denied these rumors. After her venture into Bollywood with the movie 'Aloo Chaat', she is linked to her co star Aftab Shivdasani.
