Biography : Shashikala is an Indian actress. She started her career in the 1940s as a child actress in Hindi movies, and then almost always performed in supporting roles in over 100 movies, notably including the highly successful Phool Aur Patthar, Anupama, Sujata, Waqt, and Khubsoorat. Meena Kumari, Nutan, Sharmila Tagore, Mala Sinha, and Waheeda Rehman have been among the well-known leading actresses with whom Shashikala costarred. While the female lead costars in the involved movies usually played the roles of modest Indian women, Shashikala commonly played the role of a modern, western, bubbly girl. Asha Bhosle was often the playback singer for Shashikala. Sheeshe Se Pee and Bheegi Bheegi Faza were two popular songs which Asha had sung for Shashikala. In recent years, Shashikala has played the role of a grandmother in Baadshah, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, and Chori Chori.
